Refund policy

Refund & quality policy

At Diggers Cattle Co we take pride in the beef we raise and deliver. This page covers what happens if something isn’t right with your order.

Our promise Every pack is vacuum-sealed, kept cold in our coldroom, and delivered on our monthly run. If your order arrives damaged, spoiled, or clearly not what you ordered, tell us and we’ll make it right.

How to get in touch Email us at info@diggerscattleco.com (or reply to your order confirmation) as soon as you can — ideally within 48 hours of delivery — with your order number or the name on the order, a short description of the issue, and a photo if the packing, seal, or product looks wrong. We’ll reply within one to two business days.

What we can do Depending on the issue, we may replace the affected cuts on the next monthly delivery run, or refund part or all of your order to the original payment method. We’ll always talk it through with you first.

What we can’t cover We can’t refund or replace orders where the meat was left out of the fridge or freezer after delivery and spoiled; where the pack was left as agreed (safe shady spot) but not collected in time; where you’ve simply changed your mind after delivery (this is fresh farm product prepared to order); or where the pack was opened, used, or partly eaten and there’s no quality fault. If you’re unsure, still email us — we’d rather hear from you.

Cancellations before delivery Need to cancel or move an order to the next month? Contact us before the 20th of the month (our order cut-off for that run) and we’ll do our best to help. After cut-off, cattle are already booked with the butcher, so changes may not be possible.

Delivery issues If you weren’t home and can’t find the delivery, check the shady spot you nominated and any gate notes first, then message us the same day with your address. We’ll help track it down.

Questions Anything not covered here — gate codes, cut preferences, or whether a box suits your family — just ask. We’re a small family operation and happy to sort things out like neighbours.
